Where to begin. You would think that writing about the inner thoughts of your mind would be an easy thing to do. But it is not. Life is a difficult concept to grasp, and we are only allotted a certain amount of time to get it down and function as a proper adult. As a semi-functioning adult myself, I can literally feel aging seeping through, physically and mentally. And why is that? Because life is cruel. I honestly have no idea why people want to grow up as quickly as possible. Growing up with the attitude of a child isn’t that bad. Taking out the ignorance factor that most children have, being able to speak your mind without worry, being curious about the world around you, being honest with your feelings without being shamed for saying them is a wonderful gift to have. Being open to correct people as well as being corrected…. Sounds like something that a lot of people work towards as an adult but have a difficult time doing it.
These are thoughts and concepts I have developed in my 30-ish years on this earth. Thanks to my family, friends, and a few enemies.
The reason why I chose the name Not A Rose is because a rose is considered the most beautiful by society standards. But even though I know I’m not the world’s standard, I still see my own beauty. I have a lot of thoughts about a lot of topics, whether Christianity, entertainment, relationships, or just self-growth. This blog site won’t be one dimensional. If you like it, you like it. If you don’t, you don’t. Though what I will say is that if I can spark a conversation between you and others, or just an inner monologue about the topic at hand, I’m happy.
